Jonathan Bugg

Hi, I’m Jon, Managing Director of Doodlebug Edge. I’m a former rugby player, and I specialise in executive coaching for ex-rugby players who are transitioning from the pitch into business leadership.

As President of Norwich Rugby Club and a former PE teacher turned Managing Director, I understand both worlds and the challenge of translating your rugby experience into the language of business. I’ve walked that path myself, building teams in education, web development, and now executive coaching.

Through my coaching programmes — including Visionary Edge (1-to-1 coaching) and Executive Edge (group coaching) — I help clients turn the strengths developed through rugby into clear leadership impact in the boardroom. My work is underpinned by my MAMAL methodology, built on five pillars: Meaning, Acumen, Mastery, Adaptability, and Legacy.
